Grove Picnic Experience
We meet in the village of Kerasia, a name that means to treat your guest.
From there, we walk to our family olive grove,
with views across the Kerasia plain,
the Lasithi Mountains,
and the historic Paliani Monastery.
We gather around a wooden table beneath the walnut tree, open to the hills and sky.
Local food, shared quietly. Together we complete the grove picnic.
The Cretan table remains.
Nothing formal. Nothing rushed.
The morning unfolds slowly.
Some guests may wander around.
Some may explore the village at their own pace.
Others do nothing at all.
The land leads. We follow.
