Grove Picnic Experience

 

We meet in the village of Kerasia,

15 minutes above Heraklion.

 

From there, we walk to our family olive grove.

 

A simple arrival to the land.

Before anything else, we pause under the trees.

A few breaths and slow movement.

 

Then we gather around a low wooden table beneath the walnut tree.

Together, we complete the grove picnic.

 

We share.

The morning unfolds.

Nothing is rushed.

 

Some guests wander around.

Some may ride slowly into the village.

Others remain.

 

The land leads.

We follow.
